Late Wednesday night, a Los Angeles hit-and-run crash in Shadow Hills left a pedestrian in critical condition and another man in custody.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sunland Boulevard near Stonehurst Avenue when an Infiniti SUV was clipped by a Honda. The SUV driver lost control and overturned onto a dirt path.
A pedestrian walking his dogs was struck by the SUV. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is in grave condition.
Both the driver and passenger of the SUV complied with officers and remained at the accident scene. They suffered minor pain following the accident.
The driver of the Honda attempted to flee the scene on foot, but officials found him not far from his vehicle. Authorities have taken the driver of the Honda into custody and he will likely be charged with a felony hit-and-run.
