On Sunday morning, a vehicle crashed into a building located directly below the BART tracks in West Oakland, causing a gas leak.
The collision took place shortly before 10 a.m. when a car crashed into the Angel Cakes bakery building on 745 Fifth St.
Flying debris from the crash struck a young girl standing nearby with her father. The young passerby was taken to the hospital for the injuries she sustained in the accident.
According to officials, about ten people were evacuated from the building due to the gas leak, but no one was injured. The driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries from the accident.
It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the cause of the collision.
