Pedestrian Killed in Redondo Beach Hit-and-Run

A woman was killed while walking on the street in Redondo Beach by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene. Another pedestrian walking with her was injured and rushed to a local hospital.

According to reports, the accident occurred on Monday morning at the 1900 block of Artesia Boulevard.

Authorities claim a single vehicle hit the pair. However, a description of the vehicle has not been released and remains unidentified.

We are told to be extra careful when walking on busy streets from a young age, but never think we will be the one to be hit by a negligent driver. With today’s endless possibilities of driving distractions, drivers are often not fully aware of the road and can end up injuring or killing a pedestrian.

While the law requires negligent drivers to stop and help, sometimes drivers choose to leave rather than face the consequences. You are entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim if you have lost a loved one.

If the police are unable to find the at-fault driver after a hit-and-run, an experienced attorney can use their own resources to try to track them down. In the case that the driver cannot be found, you may be able to utilize the deceased’s uninsured motorist coverage.

At Bergener Mirejovsky, we will work vigorously for the justice of you and your loved ones. We are aware of how difficult it is handling an unexpected loss while trying to receive a fair settlement.

We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to address your questions and concerns. Let us make this process easier for you. Call 1-800-881-2021 for a complimentary strategy session.
