Early Sunday morning, a seven-year-old girl died when she was hit by a car, after surviving a drunk driving crash with her father.
The initial accident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 94. The father lost control of the vehicle, hit an abandoned car on the side of the road, and drove through a fence.
After the crash, the girl walked toward the freeway and attempted to look for help after texting the police. She was struck on the I-94 by another car and died instantly.
