Young Toddler On Life Support After Hit And Run Accident in San Bernardino

hit and run accidentA driver is being sought by California Highway Patrol officers in San Bernardino after a 2-year-old boy was struck in a hit and run accident Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when the young toddler was struck by a silver Subaru in front of his home on Perris Hill Road near Baseline Street.

The young boy was trying to run across the street to his uncle, when the Subaru struck him.

The impact sent the toddler flying 100 feet before landing on the pavement.

After the impact, the uncle rushed him back to the home, where family members called 911.

The toddler was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center in extremely critical condition.

According to health officials, the boy suffered severe brain swelling, bruised kidneys, and a broken neck.

Witnesses explained the driver never even slowed down.

Officials claim the Subaru was traveling at around 40 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone.
