On Tuesday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in San Bernardino.
The accident took place in front of the 5th Street Senior Center where an elderly woman was crossing south in a marked crosswalk. A pickup truck making a left turn from F Street onto 5th Street struck the woman.
According to officials, the woman was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she later succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the accident.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be a factor in the cause of the collision.
