A 7-year-old girl is in critical condition after by struck by a car on Sunday May 31st.
The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. when a 67-year-old, who was driving a Porsche, inadvertently stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.
The driver was dropping off another male passenger when he accidentally pressed down on the gas pedal and jumped the curb, striking the young girl, and plowed through a wall and into a utility room.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to transport the young female victim to a nearby hospital where she was being treated for head trauma.
It is believed that the young girl is the daughter of an airline employee.
According to LAPD, the driver explained that the car was newly purchased and he wasn’t familiar with the vehicle.
The driver and the passenger were also transported to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Even though the car rammed into building, officials say the damage was minimum.
